Purpose and Tasks
The aim of the Scientific Bulletin of Kherson State University. Series “Legal Sciences” is to comprehensively present the results of scholarly research in the field of law, promote the development of contemporary legal thought, and foster a high-quality academic discourse on current issues of the theory and practice of the state and law.
To achieve its aim, the Journal pursues the following objectives:
- Development of scholarly communication – to enhance the formation of an international community of experts in the theory and practice of legal research.
- Creation of an open academic environment – to establish an information platform that ensures effective interaction between leading scholars and early-career researchers.
- Support of academic cooperation and mobility – to expand cooperation between Kherson State University and national and international scientific and educational institutions.
- Ensuring publication quality – to conduct internal and external peer review of all submitted manuscripts with the involvement of leading Ukrainian and international experts.
- Contribution to the improvement of legislation and law enforcement practice – to publish scientifically grounded proposals aimed at the development of legislation and the implementation of foreign legal experience.
The Journal publishes scholarly theoretical and practical research papers addressing current general theoretical and sectoral legal issues, including but not limited to:
- theory and history of state and law;
- public administration;
- administrative, constitutional, international, civil, commercial, agrarian, and environmental law;
- criminology, criminal law, and criminal procedure law;
- law enforcement practice;
- constitutional, judicial, and administrative reforms.
The Journal also informs readers about developments in academic life and legal education in Ukraine, publishes reviews of scholarly monographs and textbooks in law, and serves as a platform for academic events, including round tables.
